This special concert consists of two parts. In the first part, the Band will perform The Symphony no. 1. The Lord of the Rings, by Johan de Meij, which premiered in March 1988 in Brussels.

 

In the second part, the Band will premiere L’esqueix (adapted from Salvador Galmés' short story), a work for a music band, children's choir and an actress. The music is original by Biel Oliver; the Children's Choir emerges from Musical Classroom 440, directed by Rosa Carbonell; and the dramaturgy is by the actress Francesca Vadell (after Salvador Galmés’ short story).
