The MARE Association is an initiative that aims to support marine conservation through creativity and the promotion of visual arts with an ethical perspective. MARE presents 12 large-format photographs related to the marine environment in the Auditorium.

 

Do we live facing the sea? In these uncertain times, it is more important than ever to remember that the conservation of the sea and the coast is, and must continue to be, a key component of the economy of the Balearic Islands. Therefore, MARE focuses on the natural wealth of the sea and inspires our actions to protect it.

 

Images can potentially stop us from ignoring the sea. Photography is an ideal vehicle for showcasing its hidden beauty, colours, lights, and shadows. It also allows us to document species and habitats and provide essential information about their conservation status. How can you know what is hidden under the sea without those incredible images?
