The Piano Concerto No. 2 is a work for piano accompanied by orchestra, composed by Sergei Rachmaninov. The work premiered, with the composer as soloist, in 1901. This work is one of his most memorable pieces and brought him solid recognition and fame.
Symphony No. 9, also known as the New World Symphony, was composed by Antonín Dvorák (1841-1904) in 1893 during his visit to the United States. It is his most famous symphony and one of the most popular in the modern repertoire. Here, the 1830 Academy Orchestra, conducted by Fernando Marina, will offer Iain Farrington's chamber version.
