Giselle, considered a masterpiece of classical ballet, comes to the Sa Mániga Auditorium interpreted by Barcelona Ballet, which presents a faithful interpretation with a stylistic approach inspired by the National Ballet of Cuba.

 

Love, betrayal, forgiveness, redemption… A story that preserves the original music, libretto, and all its components. At the same time, the Barcelona Ballet uses cutting-edge technology to enhance the realism of the sets and costumes, creating an immersive experience for the audience. The production captures the essence of the National Ballet of Cuba's approach, serving as a time capsule that preserves the stylistic and artistic elements of ballet's golden age, while also meeting current technical demands.

 

The story introduces us to Giselle, a young and innocent peasant girl in love with the young Loys. Things are not what they seem. During the harvest festival, some of the secrets will be revealed that could lead the protagonist to a critical situation.

 

The ballet juxtaposes the ethereal beauty of the supernatural world with the harsh reality of human emotions, showing that the power of love can transcend even death. A masterpiece of classical ballet. With 35 dancers on stage!
